ABSTRACT
The Aim Of This Review Is To Discuss The Maxillary Stability In Cleft Lip And Palate Patients Suffering Of Maxillary Hypoplasia Using Conventional Orthognathic Surgery And Distraction Osteogenesis. Various Reports Have Noted A Relapse Or Partial Regression Towards The Pre-operative State In CO.1,2 Some Studies Reported Improved Results With The Use Of Distraction Osteogenesis Over The CO And Have Reported A Decrease In The Skeletal Relapse3,4 , While Other Studies Did Not Report Any Significant Difference In Skeletal Relapse Of CL/P When Using CO Versus Distraction Osteogenesis.
